Your journey begins from Marina Vlychada, Santorini’s charming southern harbor, famous for its dramatic moon-like volcanic cliffs sculpted over centuries by wind and sea.
From here, we sail along Santorini’s spectacular southern coastline toward the island’s famous volcanic beaches. Our first destination is the iconic Red Beach, celebrated worldwide for its striking crimson volcanic cliffs and deep sapphire waters — one of Santorini’s most extraordinary natural landmarks and among the world’s rare red-sand beaches. Here, weather permitting, guests may enjoy their first opportunity to swim and snorkel in crystal-clear Aegean waters surrounded by dramatic volcanic scenery.
Continuing along the coast, we cruise past the dazzling White Beach, accessible only by sea and framed by towering pale volcanic cliffs formed through layers of volcanic ash, pumice stone, and mineral-rich rock sculpted over thousands of years.
Our voyage then carries us toward the peaceful bay of Mesa Pigadia Beach, a hidden volcanic cove tucked beneath dramatic rock formations and natural caves, where guests may enjoy another refreshing swimming and snorkeling stop in one of Santorini’s most secluded coastal settings.
As we continue, we sail beneath the impressive Black Cliffs (Mavro Vouno), past the legendary Indian Rock formation, and onward to the historic Akrotiri Lighthouse, one of Greece’s oldest lighthouses, standing proudly at Santorini’s southwestern edge where endless panoramic sea views stretch across the Aegean.
From there, we enter the breathtaking heart of Santorini — the world-famous Caldera, formed by one of the most significant volcanic eruptions in recorded history. Sailing through the caldera reveals towering volcanic cliffs, whitewashed villages perched dramatically above the sea, and some of the island’s most iconic landmarks.
Our first caldera destination is Santorini’s legendary Volcano & Volcanic Hot Springs, where guests may immerse themselves in warm, mineral-rich sulphurous waters naturally heated by the island’s living volcanic core.
Please note: swimming in the Hot Springs is not recommended for guests with heart conditions, severe asthma, respiratory sensitivities, or other serious medical conditions due to the warm sulphurous waters and high mineral concentration.
Continuing north through the caldera, we sail past the charming Old Port of Fira, once Santorini’s principal harbor and lifeline to the outside world, resting dramatically beneath the cliffs of the island’s capital.
Further along the caldera, we approach the enchanting waters of Ammoudi Bay in Oia, one of Santorini’s most postcard-perfect harbors, framed by deep sapphire waters, striking volcanic cliffs, and Oia’s famous whitewashed village cascading high above the sea.
Across the caldera lies Thirasia Island, Santorini’s peaceful sister island — untouched, authentic, and rich in traditional Cycladic character. Here, guests may enjoy additional swimming opportunities in crystal-clear waters surrounded by the tranquility of the Aegean.
Throughout the cruise, guests may relax onboard while enjoying freshly prepared Mediterranean cuisine, authentic Greek flavors, refreshing beverages, and additional finger-food platters and sandwiches thoughtfully served throughout the day — all accompanied by the gentle rhythm of the sea and Santorini’s spectacular scenery.
As afternoon slowly turns to evening, weather permitting, sails may be raised while we begin our leisurely return journey through the caldera beneath Santorini’s legendary sunset. Golden light reflects across volcanic cliffs, whitewashed villages, and endless Aegean blue as the island transforms beneath fiery amber, soft pink, and deep orange skies.
